Description

Carbondale Arts and The Art Base are hosting “Artwork Feedback Nights” as part of their commitment to serving local artists, with the next one to be held on Friday, February 22 from 6-8:30pm at The Launchpad. Successful critiques are about perceptive, constructive feedback. Insight between artists, peers and critics often provide a pathway to self-evaluate and to reflect on improving, articulating and evolving phenomenal ideas. Feedback Nights are given by professional and accomplished artists and curators in a casual environment with a maximum of four artists. February Feedback Night will be hosted by Andy Taylor http://www.andytaylorartist.com/about/. This Feedback Night is specifically designed to give feedback on contemporary landscapes.

Participation in Artwork Feedback Night is limited to four people—artists are invited to bring works in progress or finished works for a 20-30 minute critique in a casual environment. FREE for current members of both Carbondale Arts and the Art Base in Basalt, and just $20 for non-members. The discount promo code is MEMBER.

About Andy Taylor, in his own words:

For almost forty years I have lived in Carbondale, Colorado. Most of my art world exists within a day's drive: the 250 miles to the north, south and west, across the Colorado Plateau, with its spectacular canyons, high plains, distant mesas, skinny rivers, and infrequent trees and sundry shrubbery. I love it: the colors, the shapes, the weather, and the occasional place where water changes everything.

For me painting is about exploration and discovery: exploring different ways of seeing or different ways of expressing what I see and discovering what I want to paint and discovering things as I paint. And, if successful, the result is hopefully an engaging visual treat.
