Carbondale Arts and The Art Base are hosting “Artwork Feedback Nights” as part of their commitment to serving local artists, with the next one to be held on Friday June 15th, from 6-8:30pm at the Launchpad 76 South 4th Street, Carbondale. Being critiqued isn’t easy but often helps artists problem solve and progress. Insight between artists, peers and critics often spark phenomenal ideas. Feedback Nights are given by professional and accomplished artists and curators in a casual environment (BYOB) with four participating artists. June Artist Feedback night will be facilitated by Teresa Booth Brown. Born in Portland, Oregon, Teresa Booth Brown studied at The Museum Art School, Reed College, and Bennington College; graduating with a BA in Painting and Sculpture in 1985. She has been a fellow at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine, a resident artist at The Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Colorado, and a three times a resident at the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming. In 2012 she was a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome.
In addition to teaching, lecturing, showing, and working as an arts advocate Teresa is a graduate of the Apparel Arts: San Francisco Fashion Design School and the Culinary School of the Rockies Pastry Arts Program. Her work can be found in private and public collections including Fidelity Investments Boston, Bennington College, University of Colorado Art Museum (Sharkive), Colorado Mesa University, and the U. S. State Department.
Participation in Artwork Feedback Night is limited to four people—artists are invited to bring works in progress or finished works for a 20-30 minute critique in a casual environment (BYOB). FREE for current members of both Carbondale Arts and the Art Base in Basalt, and just $20 for non-members. The discount promo code is MEMBER.
