Carbondale Arts is hosting “Artist Critique Nights” as part of its commitment to serving local artists, with the second to be held on Friday, April 27, from 6-8:30p.m. at The Launchpad (76 S. 4th St., Carbondale). Being critiqued isn't easy but often helps artists problem solve and progress. Insight between artists, peers and critics often spark phenomenal ideas. Critique Nights are given by professional and accomplished artists and curators in a casual environment (BYOB).
April’s Artist Critique will be facilitated by Andrew Roberts-Gray, andrewroberts-gray.com. Andrew Roberts-Gray is an award-winning artist who makes seductive work that hovers between painting and sculpture. He has shown in solo and group exhibitions all over Colorado including the Denver Botanic Garden Gallery, the Anderson Ranch Art Center’s Patton-Mallott Gallery in Snowmass Village, the Arvada Center, The Art Base in Basalt, and Carbondale Arts' R2 Gallery in Carbondale. Recently, Andrew has made commissioned works for collectors in Tokyo, Japan. He is represented by Michael Warren Contemporary in Denver and has a studio at S.A.W. (Studio for Arts + Works) in Carbondale. Andrew lives with his wife, artist Annette Roberts-Gray, here in Carbondale.
Critique Night is limited to 4 artists and is free for current members of both Carbondale Arts and the Art Base in Basalt, and just $20 for non members. The discount promo code is MEMBER.
